About Hobart, Tasmania
Hobart is the picturesque capital of Tasmania, which is the southern-most state of Australia. The city is sandwiched between the steep hills of Mt Wellington and the wide Derwent River, with a population of approximately 180,000 people. Mt. Wellington is often snow-capped in winter and the weather in July is cool to cold with average maximum daytime temperatures around 10°C.
